Review: EYOA 2024
EUROPE CONCERT –
a tribute
# to one of the most important composers of all time and
# to our democratic Europe
70 highly talented young people from all over Europe (European Youth Orchestra Academy) performed Beethoven’s IX together with the opera choir and top-class soloists from the Mannheim National Theatre.
EUROPE CONCERT 2024 – a project under the patronage of the European Parliament.
We deliberately scheduled the EYOA on the weekend before the European parliamentary elections. The joy, the friendships between the many nationalities, the peace and the empathy that arise during these ten days (during the orchestra workshop) should send a clear signal in favour of a united and democratic Europe. – A visible sign that is absolutely necessary in view of the ever-increasing nationalist tendencies in Europe.

70 participants from all over Europe
Highly talented young Europeans between 14 and 19 years
It was a magical experience, from meeting so many great, new people from all over Europe, to being totally immersed in such fabulous, high-standard music. I’ve never experienced anything like it before.
I’ve made so many new friends and have developed a whole new understanding of music and how much it connects people.
If I could go back in time and relive it all over again, I would, in a heart beat and I wouldn’t change a single thing, (except make it so the course would never end :))
I will never forget my time I spent with the European Youth Orchestra Academy!
